Deficiencies in C4 allotypes have been associated with various diseases. C4A and C4B deficiencies, although rare in the human population, constitute one of the strongest genetic factors that favor the development of SLE ( Systemic Lupus Erythematosus).metodoc3n C4 deficiency has been associated with SLE and glomerulonephritis, as well as Mycobacterium leprae infections . Other diseases associated with this deficiency are: systemic sclerosis, congenital adrenal hyperplasia with DR5 genotype, type I diabetes mellitus and thyroiditis. The C3 component is elevated in conditions of chronic inflammation, including coronary artery disease and asthma, and even in situations of an emotional nature, such as sustained anger, hostility, and depression. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology and, later, my Master’s Degree in Psychogerontology from the Complutense University of Madrid. I am currently starting my first year as a Doctorate student at UCM. My thesis will study the effectiveness of musical therapy for patients with Alzheimer’s using neuroimaging techniques. Bachelor in Psychology at Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Master by research in Integrative Neuroscience at University of Edinburgh. Currently, I am studying a PhD at Universidad Complutense funded by the Ministry of Education through a contract for research training (FPU 2019). I am part of the Laboratory of Cognitive and Computational Neuroscience research group, where my main work take place during PhD.
